What is Vintage Iran?
Vintage Iran is a celebration of Iran's visual and cultural history.
We bring together products, brands, advertisements, places, objects, and imagery from Iran's past — particularly the decades when Iranian popular culture, design, advertising, and everyday life were rapidly changing.
Our aim is simple: to preserve the memories and visual character of an Iran that many remember, while introducing that history to a new generation.
What does "Vintage Iran" mean?
Vintage Iran refers to the visual culture and everyday memories of Iran's recent past.
This includes everything from old Iranian brands and packaging to Tehran streets, cafés, cinemas, cars, household products, magazines, advertisements, architecture, and the small details of everyday life.
It isn't simply nostalgia.
It's a record of a particular time and place.
Is Vintage Iran a historical archive?
Vintage Iran is inspired by genuine historical material and real cultural references.
We research and reference historical Iranian products, brands, advertisements, places, and visual culture when creating our designs.
Some products are therefore reproductions or artistic interpretations inspired by historical material rather than original vintage objects.
Are the products actually vintage?
Not necessarily.
Unless a product is specifically described as an original vintage item, our products are newly produced pieces inspired by historical Iranian imagery and culture.
The purpose is to recreate the feeling and visual character of the period without requiring you to hunt through old bazaars or private collections.

Where do your designs come from?
Our designs are inspired by genuine elements of Iranian history and popular culture.
Depending on the collection, this may include:
- Historic Iranian brands
- Old advertisements
- Iranian packaging and product design
- Tehran and other Iranian cities
- Historic streets and architecture
- Cars and transportation
- Iranian cinema and popular culture
- Magazines and printed ephemera
- Everyday objects and household products
- Graphic design and typography from earlier decades
We are particularly interested in the ordinary details of everyday life — the things people may have forgotten but that often bring the strongest memories.
Are the brands and products shown in your designs real?
Where a design depicts a historical Iranian brand or product, we aim to represent the original subject as accurately as possible.
Historical logos, packaging, advertisements, and products may be reproduced or referenced as part of our designs.
Do you recreate historical advertisements?
Some designs may be based on historical advertisements or printed material.
Where appropriate, we research period imagery and typography to capture the character of the original.
We may also reinterpret historical material rather than reproduce it exactly.
Are your images AI-generated?
Some Vintage Iran artwork may involve modern digital illustration or AI-assisted creative techniques.
The purpose is not to invent an imaginary history, but to recreate or reinterpret genuine historical subjects in a visually compelling way.
Where historical accuracy matters, we make every effort to distinguish documented references from creative reconstruction.
Why don't some designs look exactly like an old photograph?
Many historical photographs and printed materials are incomplete, low-resolution, damaged, or difficult to reproduce at modern print quality.
In some cases, we reconstruct elements to create a coherent image while preserving the visual character of the period.
Our goal is historical authenticity in spirit and detail, rather than pretending that a modern reconstruction is an original photograph.
AUTHENTICITY & HISTORY
How do you choose what appears in Vintage Iran?
We look for things that genuinely belonged to Iranian everyday life and popular culture.
A product, brand, place, advertisement, or object doesn't need to have been famous internationally. In fact, some of the most interesting pieces of Iranian history are the things that were simply part of ordinary people's lives.
What period of Iranian history do you focus on?
Vintage Iran is particularly interested in the 20th century, with a strong emphasis on the mid-century and later decades.
However, the exact period varies by collection and subject.
Do you only feature Tehran?
No.
Tehran is an important part of Vintage Iran because of its enormous influence on Iranian modern culture, design, commerce, cinema, and everyday life.
But Vintage Iran is not limited to Tehran.
Our broader goal is to explore the many places, products, people, and cultural experiences that made up modern Iran.
Why are old Iranian brands so important?
Brands tell us much more than what people bought.
They reveal how Iranian society looked, what people valued, how companies advertised, what products were available, how graphic design evolved, and how Iran's relationship with the wider world changed.
A tea packet, bottle, car advertisement, cinema poster, or household appliance can therefore be a small piece of social history.

Our collections may include clothing, prints, posters, accessories, homeware, and other products featuring Vintage Iran artwork.
The exact products available will vary as new collections are introduced.
Are your products officially connected to the historical brands shown?
Not unless explicitly stated.
Vintage Iran is an independent brand celebrating Iranian history and visual culture.
A historical brand, logo, product, advertisement, or other third-party material appearing in a design does not necessarily indicate a current commercial relationship, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Are your products made in Iran?
Product manufacturing varies by item.
Please refer to the individual product description for information about where a particular item is produced.
Will you sell original vintage products?
Our primary focus is on newly produced products inspired by Iran's cultural history.
We may occasionally offer genuine vintage objects or archival pieces in the future. Any such item will be clearly identified as an original vintage item.
SIZING & CARE
How do I choose the right size?
Every clothing product includes its own size information.
Because sizing can vary between garments, we recommend checking the measurements provided on the individual product page rather than relying solely on your usual size.
How should I care for my Vintage Iran clothing?
Care instructions vary by product.
For printed garments, we generally recommend:
- Wash inside out
- Use a cold or low-temperature wash
- Avoid bleach
- Avoid ironing directly over printed artwork
- Air dry where possible
- Follow the specific care instructions supplied with the product
Proper care will help preserve both the garment and the artwork.

Will I receive tracking information?

Do you ship internationally?

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Include your order number and photographs showing the damage to both the product and packaging so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
What if I ordered the wrong size?

If the order has not yet entered production or been dispatched, we may be able to help.
Once an order has entered production, changes may not be possible.
PAYMENTS

Is my payment secure?

Payments are processed using secure payment systems. We do not store your complete payment card details.
Can I cancel my order?
If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate the request, but cancellation may not be possible once production or fulfilment has begun.

Do you own the historical brands shown on Vintage Iran products?
No.
Historical brand names, trademarks, logos, advertisements, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.
Vintage Iran is an independent project celebrating and documenting Iranian cultural and commercial history.
Why do you use historical logos and brand imagery?
Because they are an important part of Iran's visual history.
Old brands and their advertising provide a fascinating window into the country's changing culture, design, commerce, and everyday life.
Where third-party intellectual property is referenced, it is presented as historical and cultural subject matter and not as an indication of current affiliation or endorsement unless explicitly stated.
Can I use Vintage Iran artwork for my own business or project?
Our original artwork, illustrations, photography, designs, and written material are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
