Our Story

OLD IRAN. NEW MEMORIES.

Iran has always had a visual language of its own.

Bold colours. Beautiful Persian lettering. Hand-painted signs. Distinctive packaging. Classic cars. Travel posters. Shopfronts. Old advertisements. Familiar bottles and boxes sitting on shelves. The architecture of Tehran. The little details of everyday life that seemed ordinary at the time — but somehow become priceless memories years later.

Vintage Iran was created to bring those memories back to life.

Not as souvenirs.

Not as museum pieces.

And not as perfect recreations of the past.

But as wearable pieces of Iranian nostalgia, reimagined for today.

THE IRAN WE REMEMBER

Ask someone what they remember about Iran and you might hear about the great landmarks.

Tehran.

Azadi Tower.

The mountains.

The old boulevards.

But often, it's the smaller things that come first.

A Peykan parked outside the house.

A bottle of doogh beside a plate of kebab.

A packet of chewing gum from the local shop.

A faded advertisement on a wall.

An old airline poster.

The typography on a cardboard box.

A familiar Persian word printed in enormous letters.

These things weren't designed to become memories.

They were simply part of everyday life.

And that's precisely what makes them so powerful today.

FROM EVERYDAY OBJECTS TO WEARABLE STORIES

The Vintage Iran collection takes inspiration from the visual culture of an earlier Iran and reinterprets it through contemporary graphic design.

We look to the things people remember:

the cars, the brands, the food, the architecture, the advertisements, the typography and the everyday objects.

Then we give them a new life.

A Peykan becomes a vintage automotive poster.

A bottle of doogh becomes a piece of retro advertising.

A familiar Persian word becomes the centrepiece of a graphic.

A Tehran boulevard becomes a nostalgic travel scene.

Historic industrial imagery becomes heritage-inspired workwear.

The goal is always the same:

Make something that feels like a memory.

WHY VINTAGE?

There is something special about old printed graphics.

They weren't perfectly clean.

Colours faded.

Ink shifted.

Paper aged.

Edges became worn.

Sunlight changed everything.

And somehow, those imperfections made the original objects more human.

That's why distressing and weathered textures are an important part of our visual language.

The worn appearance isn't an accident.

It's part of the story.

Every scratch, faded patch and imperfect texture is there to make the artwork feel as though it has travelled through time.

We create new artwork deliberately designed to feel old, familiar and discovered.

IRANIAN DESIGN, WITHOUT THE CLICHÉS

Iranian identity is often represented through the same familiar symbols.

Flags.

Maps.

Political slogans.

Historical emblems.

They all have their place.

But we wanted to explore another side of Iranian identity.

The everyday side.

The Iran that existed in people's homes, cars, restaurants, shops and streets.

The Iran that lives in family photographs and childhood stories.

The Iran that makes someone living thousands of miles away suddenly smile when they see a familiar bottle, car or piece of Persian typography.

Because culture isn't only found in history books.

Sometimes it's sitting on a shop shelf.

DESIGNED FOR THE DIASPORA

For people who grew up outside Iran, nostalgia can be complicated.

Sometimes Iran is a place remembered personally.

Sometimes it's a place known through parents and grandparents.

Sometimes it's a collection of stories, photographs, smells, foods, objects and Persian words.

And sometimes a single image can bring all of it back.

That's one of the reasons we believe clothing can be more than clothing.

A T-shirt can be a conversation starter.

A memory.

A connection.

A little piece of home.

You don't necessarily need to explain it.

Someone who understands will simply get it.

MORE THAN IRANIAN MERCHANDISE

We don't want Vintage Iran to feel like a souvenir shop.

We want it to feel like a real graphic apparel brand.

That means the designs have to work even if you remove the cultural context.

They need strong composition.

Good typography.

Interesting colour combinations.

Character.

Texture.

And enough visual personality to make someone want to wear them.

The Iranian connection should make the artwork more meaningful — not be the only reason it works.

**Persian heritage is the inspiration.

Good design is the standard.**

THE VINTAGE IRAN COLLECTION

Our first collection explores different sides of Iranian visual culture.

PEYKAN

A tribute to the automobile that became part of the landscape — and memory — of an entire generation.

DOOGH ABALI

A familiar taste transformed into vintage Iranian advertising-inspired artwork.

TEHRAN

A nostalgic journey through the streets of an earlier Tehran, centred around the unmistakable Azadi Tower.

IRAN AIR

A celebration of aviation, travel and the memories associated with leaving — and returning home.

CHIC SPEARMINT

A piece of everyday packaging nostalgia, inspired by the graphic language of old Iranian commercial design.

KHOROUS

Bold Persian typography and illustrated commercial art inspired by the visual character of vintage Iranian food advertising.

INDUSTRIAL IRAN

Heritage-inspired graphics drawing on the visual language of Iran's industrial era.

Each design tells a different story.

Together, they create one larger story:

Iran as remembered through its visual culture.

OLD IRAN. NEW MEMORIES.

We're not trying to recreate the past.

The past has already happened.

We're interested in what happens when those memories meet the present.

When something your parents remember becomes something you can wear.

When an old photograph becomes a graphic.

When a forgotten piece of packaging becomes streetwear.

When Persian typography becomes part of contemporary fashion.

When something from decades ago suddenly feels relevant again.

That's Vintage Iran.

Old Iran. New Memories.

WEAR THE MEMORY

Whether you're Iranian, part of the Persian diaspora, connected to Iran through family and friends, or simply fascinated by Persian culture and vintage graphic design, we hope our pieces give you something more than another T-shirt.

We hope they give you a story.

Something that starts a conversation.

Something that takes you somewhere.

Something that makes you remember.

Because the best memories don't really disappear.

They just wait for something to bring them back.
